SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity)

SDHC allows higher storage capacities than standard SD. SDHC cards are available from 4GB to 32GB. SDHC is different from the standard SD card and is not necessarily backward compatible: SDHC cards only work in SDHC devices developed fpr SDHC memory cards and the appropriate equipment is identified by the SDHC logo. There are four SDHC speed classes defined. These categories provide a indication of the minimum write speed of the card. They are as follows:

Class 2: 2 MB / s (or higher)

Class 4: 4 MB / s (or higher)

Class 6: 6 MB / s (or higher)

Class 10: 10 MB / s (or higher)
