SuperCAT360 shielded horizontal cables are designed to exceed the TIA/EIA-568-B.2 (Category 5e) requirements.
SuperCAT360 cables are tested up to 360MHz, well beyond the 100MHz required by the TIA ISO/IEC specifications.
The cables are constructed with four highly balanced twisted pairs, each consisting of 24 AWG insulated copper conductors (horizontal) or 26 AWG insulated copper conductors (patch). The four pairs are covered by an aluminum foil and a flexible PVC jacket. Because of the extra headroom, SuperCAT360 cables are more robust and more forgiving in Category 5e installations and are therefore the recommended solution for Gigabit Ethernet systems.
